EASi-FOLD Doors deliver a practical, high-value solution for fabricators looking to offer homeowners the wide-opening appeal of bi-folds with a more refined operating system. Designed to create expansive glazed openings, EASi-FOLD helps fabricators meet growing demand for panoramic door systems that maximise light, open up living spaces, and provide uninterrupted views.

EASi-FOLD doors are available in configurations of up to six panes, with the master door positioned left or right to suit installation requirements. Each sash slides, pivots and folds independently, providing a smoother and more controlled operation than conventional bi-fold systems.

This flexible design gives fabricators greater scope to meet project-specific requirements while delivering a practical, space-efficient solution for both new-build and refurbishment applications.

All EASi-FOLD configurations are built around a slimline frame with minimal sightlines, helping fabricators offer a clean, contemporary product that aligns with current market demand.

Our ADVANCE 70 multi-chambered EASi-FOLD Doors achieve Building Regulations Approved Document L and Future Homes Standard energy ratings and U values without adding unwanted expense.

Reducing energy bills and making the home more thermally efficient is high on the list of most homeowners. Understanding that fitting the right combination of profile and glass unit is of immense importance.

Excellent U Values can be achieved with a 4/20/4 28mm double-glazed unit, whilst a 40mm triple-glazed unit will increase both the thermal and acoustic performance further. Contact our technical department for further information.

Fabrication and Installation

Fabricated and installed in accordance with the latest issue of the Selecta Systems controlled technical manual.

System Description

The door assemblies are open out, internally beaded with BS EN 1279-2 compliant IGU(s), laminated on one pane to class P1A, with standard threshold and of otherwise fully welded construction. Doors are classified as D.

Hardware

A five point locking (two hooks, two cams, one dead bolt) Yale espagnolette system with two Roto Designo Pivot Hinges and two dog bolts. Yale 3* ASP cylinder, key locking Greenteq handle. Two sliding leaves.

Profiles

Outer frame top, bottom, lock side and hinge side - 1710. Leaf top, bottom, lock side and hinge side - 1715. Steel reinforcing - 1757.2

EASi-FOLD Doors, appropriately named because of the simplicity of operation, are a multi-pane set of doors with individually opening sashes with no visible hardware, only a handle on the master door.

EASi-FOLD Doors have individually opening and sliding sashes enabling easier handling when opening and closing, as each sash opens independently and glides effortlessly along a track, pivots and folds in to place against the master door, with very little force.

The ADVANCE 70 System is a fully-integrated, 70mm window and door profile system with both sculptured and chamfered variations. With double and triple glazing options the 5 chambered system has been intelligently designed to meet all requirements for improved thermal efficiency.

The ADVANCE 70 System benefits from large reinforcement chambers, where Selecta steel sections can be inserted for additional strength and rigidity when required, or increased thermal performance when combined with our RTR (Recycled Thermal Reinforcement) Bar.

The ADVANCE 70 EASi-FOLD Door System also offers enhanced security options and when correctly specified, residential doors are PAS24 and Secured by Design approved as standard.
