PAS 24 & SECURED BY DESIGN

What does this mean for the fabricator, installer, homeowner and property?

PAS 24 and Secured by Design is your guarantee that a fully fabricated Selecta window or door has been tested to and is being monitored by a UKAS accredited certification body to ensure compliance to the industry standard for enhanced security performance requirements for windows and doorsets in the UK.

The PAS 24 standard is an extra security measure to ensure windows and doors are up to the security standards to protect against unwanted visitors. The testing is based on a burglar trying to manipulate a cylinder and force the lock and hinge side of a door, whilst on a window by forcing entry through the locking points using a selection of tools including ‘crow bars’, screwdrivers, chisels, drills and blades.
